Interim Chief Executive Officer
Alex Wibholm is the interim chief executive officer and senior vice president of operations at the National Pork Board in Des Moines, Iowa. Wibholm is responsible for leading the organization, including the implementation of the strategic plan, directing the annual planning cycle, evaluating and improving operational effectiveness and ensuring alignment with NPB strategic imperatives to build trust and add value for U.S. pork producers.
Before joining the National Pork Board in April 2018, Wibholm spent most of his career in the agricultural seed & chemical industry, serving in multiple operational focused roles with DuPont Pioneer (now Corteva) in Johnston, Iowa and Monsanto (now Bayer) in Huxley, Iowa.
Wibholm graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. He has also earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from MoreSteam University and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification from the American Society of Quality.
Wibholm grew up on a farm near Williams, Iowa, and now resides in Adel, Iowa with his wife Tamrin, and dogs Ava and Heidi.
