Alex Wibholm is the chief operating officer for the National Pork Board, based in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, Wibholm is responsible for leading the organization’s operations, evaluating and improving operational effectiveness and ensuring alignment with NPB’s strategic imperatives to build trust and add value for U.S. pork producers.
Background
Wibholm has spent most of his career in the agriculture sector. Prior to joining the National Pork Board in 2018, he served in multiple operational-focused roles with DuPont Pioneer (now Corteva) and Monsanto (now Bayer) and provided project management, financial strategy and operational excellence to uphold compliance and accountability across the organizations.
Education
Wibholm has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Iowa State University. He earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from MoreSteam University and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification from the American Society of Quality. He resides in Adel, Iowa with his wife.
